The F250 "courtesy wave/acknowledgement"

I have always had my attention automatically programmed to acknowledge Ford F-250's driving down the road, but I constantly find myself lifting a few fingers off the steering wheel in a "wave like salute" to acknowledge other diesel owners. It's like the motorcycle riders always throw a hand out to the side when passing other bikers to say acknowledge them. Am I crazy, or does anyone else do this lol?

When I was back home in the country I did/got it all the time...in these parts that I'm stationed in it's usually a one finger salute lol

Yeah I find myself giving the salute too! My wife just shakes her head at me and says your obsessed! Lol

i do it too. but i dont notice others doing it back which can somewhat tick me off lol

I used to do it all the time in my Jeep. Never noticed anyone in Texas ever do it in a Super Duty.

I've done it some while driving, but get very little response. I've got better response if I end up pulling up next to a truck at an intersection. Usually do / get the head bob.

I've even tried to do it while towing my 5th wheel with other RVers. Similar, low response there too.

I do this all the time with little to no response different brand of people now days.

We do that here regardless of what we are driving. But its mostly with the ones with trucks. And the diesel drivers do it as well.

My wife says the EXACT same thing! Lol! I'll be in the middle of a conversation and then abruptly stop to say "look at that F250!" lol. She thinks I'm totally obsessed, ... And for once, she is right!

I'm glad i am not the only one who does this! I wish more people would wave back also, but I'll just keep on acknowledging them no matter what others do or don't do.

i do it, but like said above most of the time never get anything back.....unless the truck is modded to some degree..then ill get a wave back....
