Anyone know how to reset the backup/reverse senors?

This weekend I changed out my reverse lights to led bulbs, since the bulb on one side was out. In order to check polarity on the bulbs and make sure I had installed it right, I needed to have power running to the bulb. I go into the truck, turn the key on without starting the engine, and switch the gear to reverse. At this point I was able to install the bulbs and see that they work. However when driving today, I notice that my backup sensors are active even when I am driving. If i'm stopped at a red light and someone is sitting behind me, the sensors go off. I can temporarily turn them off by hitting the button on the dash, but that goes away after you turn off the truck. Does anyone know of a way or method to restart or reset the system so it is functioning properly?

Might be that you have a low voltage draw light now (LED's draw substantially less). Might have to get resistors inline so that the sensor system reads the reverse lights properly.
Just my wild-stab-in-the-dark guess.
