fuel filter water seporator
I have a 2009 f250 with about 6500 miles on it and went to drain the fuel filter and it drains a little slower than it has been previously in the past. I usually do it every month or so. Is this normal or is the filter starting to get clogged up?

Are you parking relatively flat or with the front end lower then the rear? if it's higher then the rear it doesn't drain as well or at all. Otherwise, the drain could be clogged or have debree in it preventing the flow or possibly the filters are clogged.
I would check the drain tube first, park on a hill with front end up and see if you can look inside the tube while it's opened. Maybe us a paperclip, see if you can pull something out. If not, you may have to unmount, disassemble and blow air through it and/or change the filter. |

We've discussed this before but in case you missed it, these water separators needs to be cleaned out since they clog up with waxy gunk. It's not big deal. Just one of those things on the 6.4.
