i use a website for all my filters and fluids because it is wayyyyyy cheaper than ford or anywhere else but i dont know the part number. thanks

I'm going to be adding the Dieselsite bypass filter along with the drain that's shown in the pic. Does anyone have a write up on how to do a "driveway" flush using this system. It's crazy expensive to have Ford do and when I saw a write up about a year ago it sounded really simple. Just can't seem to find it now.

no im not doing it myself, mercon 5 was put in the transmission by a mechanic and then i found out that it is mercon sp that is supposed to be in it so im getting it changed by a professional transmission place because he told me he could get as much as he could otu of it so it is safe again.

that bypass filter looks interesting...a writeup would be nice to find. i will ask the mechanic to take a picture of the inside of the transmission so you can see it. i would also like to know. he is a pretty cool guy so im sure he wouldnt mind.

I'm doing a search right now but haven't found what I need. Does anyone know how much oil the tranny takes without a filter change. I changed the filter at 25k so I just want to pull the drain plug and refill. Thanks

my tranny took 10 qaurts with the filter change.

Thanks Big Red. I just removed the drain plug and drained the fluid and it took 8.75 qts. to the top of the hot mark.
