HEAT FROM EXHAUST

I know that the new 6.4L psd the exhaust temp. are super high, but has anybody notice that exhaust heats up the floor board by the passger seat when I am pulling my trailer long time. The dealer says nobody has notice that problem yet. My wife had bag setting down on floor board and got warm on the bottom of the bag. When got to the place I was going I put my hand down on the carpet and I could feel it was warm on my hand. Any thoughs on this let me know????

There should be insulation under the floorboard. You might want to see if yours is missing.

You guys have to remember that under heavy loads for an extended period of time the truck will see EGT's of 1200F to 1250F at any one time this is "normal" because if the stupid DPF, especially if it is in regen, remember it has to "burn" the soot off....
