Buying a 6.4

Looking at getting a 6.4. Which deal is better, a 08 kingranch with 12k miles for 39500 or a 2010 lariat (every option) 43k miles for 38000. I live in Texas if that makes a difference. Thanks

Get the KR! I just got one last week from Texas actually and absolutely love it! Interior is much nicer.

The 2010 has sensors,htd seats, subroof, navi, camera etc. And the 2008 have sensors, htd seats and sunroof. But which is better for the money

43,000 miles on a 2010 seems like high mileage to me. Then again, I have an '09 with just over 20,000 miles. A King Ranch will have a lot of the same options that a standard Lariat would have and most people who splurge on a KR usually have a couple bells and whistles on top of the standard package. It really depends on if you like the caramel leather of the KR and if you want every bell and whistle that the Lariat truck has. Bells and whistles are nice but they are expensive to fix. Navigation goes out of date so you have to upgrade that every few years. The 12k miles on the KR is really attractive to me. However, it would be a slightly harder decision if the '08 was a Job 1 truck. If it were me, I'd lean towards the KR.

Price doesn't seem too bad as the truck is virtually brand new but it still seems like it's retail pricing and you're paying the retail premium. I'd start negotiating and see what you can get it for.

Hard for me to say what it's worth because I read on other forums users getting brand new Lariat trucks for $45,000 or KRs for $55,000 and in Canada, the KR I test drove last month was stickered at $83,000 and "on sale" for $67,000.

The 2008 was manufactured 04/08 so i guess that is job 3? Which is good right? Purchased new Oct. 2008 so still has some bumper to bumper warranty left.
