Allot of the bad things have probably been taken care of, radiator issues seem to be the most common though there was a bad batch of injector in the Job 1 trucks. However, if that truck has 185K, chances are that it didn't have those problems or they were taken care of already if they did.

Send a message via AIM to Dim Sum
That sure is a lot of miles.

Is there a significant price savings?

It's 13000 and I don't mind miles really if it's taken care of.

What bad things have you heard? I think the 6.4L is a great platform.

My family has (3) 2008 6.4s. I have one, my father's personal truck, and my father's work truck. Mine is a Job 1 with 100k on it with zero problems. My father's personal truck is a Job 1 with 70K on it with zero problems. And my father's work truck is a Job 3 with 60K on it and it had one injector replaced. I've heard a rumor about a Job 1 injector issue but my experience has been the exact opposite.

I think it is sometimes good to buy a higher mileage truck. Either that truck hasn't had any problems or its problems have already been fixed.

I've herd the dpf needs to be deleted and I've here'd injector problems and really bad mileage, I'm not saying any of it is true, I just don't know anyone who has a 6.4 so I wanted to ask some people who have owned one.

I think you're going to find any truck that is DPF equipped is going to get poor mileage. Especially compared to your 01 Cummins. Your truck will be out of warranty anyway so I'd definitely recommend deleting the DPF. I've seen a vast improvement on my truck.

As far as the injectors, I think that issue has been pretty rare. I wouldn't let it detract you from the truck. Heck, if you were brave enough to own a 6.0 the 6.4 should be no problem.
