TOWING WITH H & S BLACK MAX

I am leaving for my first trip tomorrow since installing my black max i have the latest 6.4.23 tunes loaded.I was planning on starting with the mild tune and watching the temps. I have a F350 cc srw and i`m towing a travel trailer that weighs approx. 7000 loaded. There are no major grades on the trip, I was wondering if i should download a different trans tune or just leave it as is.Any thoughts would be welcome ....Thanks

this is what i learned from someone else ...."changing the firmware to 6.4.26 (for the "surging issues fix" identified in the history log), and change tranny tunes to S1M (to get rid of the 4th gear lockup but keep the higher shiftpoints).""The results were AWESOME! Towing was silky smooth at all speeds. Towing both the 10.5k 5-er and a bumper-pull with about 10k worth of tractor "

i have the same set up as you. i tow a 7500-8000lbs travel trailer....i run the h&s canned tunes----mild/wild/hot................i tow in wild......works great, all readings are good,,,,plenty of power.....didnt like the hot tune for pulling cause it would feel like it really wanted to jump and pull it but it was too much power to soon

well can you guys help me out?
I just got my mini like 3 days ago, about to pick up a load from out of town this tuesday. My 20 footer empty weighs about 3500#, on my way back the load will weigh in at about 12 to 14000#

should i use the schedule #2 tranny tune?
should i use Default power or Hot Damn (while towing in wild)

IF YOU ARE running the hot damn tunes i would set it to mild and put it in tow haul and head out, the trans tune that is loaded with it works great..that trans tune is the schedule 1 m i believe.

thanks. thats what i decided last night while in the office.

i figure i could run in mild on the way up there (empty) and switch to no power, which still gives me 50hp gain in HDtune, once i'm really loaded down.
