When do you guys replace your shocks?

I almost have 50k miles on the truck and just curious when you guys replace your shocks?

I'm the 3rd owner. I just put Bilsteins on at 167k, took off the OEM Motorcrafts. And yeah, it rides better.

Shocks are usually good for at least 150k if not more depending on how hard you abuse yoiur truck on dirt roads, or if you stay on the pavement all the time.

I always heard 50K, I currently have 88k on my stock ones and I have new ones ordered. Many times they will go much longer than 50k before failing completely and causing other problems but I dont think its a question of how long they might last but of when do they quit performing like they should. But then I'm one of those guys who don't like to run things until they fail, I prefer maintenance.

i just put some bilstein shocks at 87,000. Made a huge difference. My stock ones were shot.
