New 6.4 Owner

Hi Everyone. I have just purchased an 08 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4 FX4 with the 6.4, obviously, that has 49000 miles on it with an auto trans. I believe it is a Job 1 with a date of 01/07 and have a few questions. What are the main issues that I should address? What do I need to keep an eye on? And what are the main causes of engine failure? I am thinking of going with an H&S Mini Maxx, 5" Diamond Eye straight pipe, and an S&B Cold Air to help with mileage and some power gain. Should this be an ok setup? Seems like it rides and runs great, but have read some horror stories that have me a bit worried. Thanks.

Change your oil, and fuel filters at the scheduled times and you shouldnt have to many issues. Fuel system failures have been an issue lately it seems, but if you change both your fuel filters every 10k miles, and drain the water separator once a month you should be fine. If you want extra insurance go with an Airdog 2. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea to go ahead and service your tranny fluid as well as flush the cooling system and start fresh.
