is it possible to turn off reverse sensors

when i'm backing the trailer down the launch ramp or into the driveway the back up sensors are going bananas and it drives me CRAZY! is it possible to turn them off temporarily while i'm hooked to the trailer?

There's a button with "P" and a triangle on it I believe that you can push that turns it off. At least that's how the 2006 I drove was...

DAMN I'M AN IDIOT

you are correct about the button!

it's marked with an "R" and has a pic of a cone next to the R. i think it even says "OFF" on the button. good thing i pay CLOSE attention to whats on the dash
