how to change AC belt?

i've searched this site and googled it as well and have come up with zip so far. i've found a small write up on how to change the serpentine belt but not the AC belt. do any of you guys have a procedure on how to do this? any special tips and/or advice?

Im interested to. My truck as been making a little squealing noise when I turn the truck on with the ac turned on.

i cannot speak from personal experience since the mechanic at our shop actually did the work, but it wasn't too bad. he was able to get to everything necessary from the bottom. he removed one bolt along the bottom of the fan shroud, was able to pull the serpentine belt out of his way, removed the AC belt and slid the new one back on. the biggest challenge was getting the serpentine belt back in place. it was done in about 1.5 hours. the job was a success....NO MORE SQUEALLING!

Looks like I will go ahead and tackle this job today. Ill let you know how easy it was and if anything special was needed.

the only thing special the mech wished he would have had was a longer ratchet for the tensioner pulley. other than that, don't believe you should need anything out of the ordinary.
