Hi, I'm new here. I've got a mental problem. Ha! Ha!. No seriously. Here it is.
2 months ago I bought an 04 F250, nice truck, low miles, everything that I needed. Threw a hitch in the back and it pulls my 4 horse like it's not even back there.
Now the problem. I've got the opportunity to purchase an 08 F350 SuperCab, Dually,Diesel,Auto,4x4,FX4,camper pkg,Powerfold mirrors,Power Captain Chairs,leather,Rear step and running boards, 2 tone paint, privacy glass, backup sensors, the works. I can get this truck for about $9600 under list.
It has about 70 miles on it and I've put half of them on it myself. My wife says to do what I want. I'm having a problem getting past losing money on my trade-in. What's your opinions? It's a great truck and I really want it, just can't get over losing money on the back end.

Stand to lose about $3000 on the F250 when I trade it in.

I say keep your truck you have now. You know what you got. You know how it runs. 2 or 3 years from now. Trade it in on a lease return 08 powerstroke. Or your current truck will be paid for and you can buy a lease turn in 08 powerstroke.

Hrmm... well - you could look at it as you are getting $3000 in upgrades and you still clear 6900... but -- It completely depends on your financial situation... heck - see if you can get them to give ya a bit more on trade.

Just say I'd love to, but I need at least half the 3000 and you got a new truck sold and another to sell....

Problem is they are already giving me $9600 off list, they don't want to come down any more, and they are at the top of what they can offer me for my truck and still turn around and sell for their profit.
