6.4 exhaust regeneration problem solved

This is for all you guys and possibly gals who are running the 6.4 under their hood. If you are having exhaust regeneration problems (and i know you guys know what im talking about) then i have got some tips on how i fixed mine and this really works. I have had my truck for over a year now since i bought it straight from the Kentucky plant and for the last 7 months i have been experiancing exhaust regeneration problems; low power, excessive smoke, etc... Since then i have been working with some ford mechanics and a rep. from edge performance and i beleive tegether we have fixed the problem. What i did was, i went online and purchased a DPF delete kit to remove the exhaust filter from my truck. Then i went to Edge Performance Products website and purchased their Edge Racing Evolution programmer and installed that onto my truck. Using the programmer, i went into the power programming section and was asked if i wanted to create a custom program. I selected yes and a screen popped up with a selection to change the speed limiter, rev limiter and if im running a DPF filter. I changed the selection for the DPF filter from yes to no and continued with the custom programming. Since then i have experianced no exhaust regeneration, no performance loss and better fuel milage. Hopefully this helps you guys and gals out. If you have any questions you can contact me here or e-mail me at stsemonis34@hotmail.com

The edge works fine for fuel mileage which is all I was concerned about. Setting #2 gets me 19 mpg with a 4wd dually with 4:10 gears.
