thinking about buying a 6.4L

hey all iv got a 6.0 right now but has been draining me for money and im tried of it not running, i love it but its gotta end soon i was lookin in to gettin a 6.4 it has 150,000 miles on it. i was wanting to get the pros and cons of a 6.4 hoping it will be better than 6.0L any advise would be awesome.

Well first things first, is it a stock 150K miles on the 6.4 or is it modded at all?

I'm happy with my 6.4. No regrets. When I first got it, the fuel milage drove me nuts. Hated that DPF. Got rid of it, life is great. Pros and cons....well that was it, lots of pros, only con was the DPF.

what about delete the dpf what is it exactly how much is it and how bigg of a job is it

man are there any good used ford diesel nowadays a guy can get? this 6.0 has me up set, now what i hear about 6.4 i mean wow maybe i have to go with a the good ol 5.9 cummins dodge i dont want to but i dont know anymore

It only takes a couple hours to do. You do have to buy a dpf delete pipe, and re-tune for it.

Nothing wrong with the 6.4. Great trucks. Or at least mine has been good to me so far.
