2008 F350 6.4L

Okay, I need some honest opinions. We are looking at buying a 2008 F350 6.4L with 140,000 miles. Good or bad??? I don't know anyone who owns one so here I am. Thanks

They are good trucks if you do some preventative maintainence on one. Is there any reason you are buying one with so many miles on it i would try to find one with lower mileage.

Price is right and so are the options. It is a sweet looking truck, the exterior is great the only thing missing is the cap on the tail gate, the interior is extremely clean. Seems like it was well taken care of.

If you dont mind me asking; what are they asking for it and what are some of the options?

Leather, Nav, Tow, dvd player, running boards. It is fully loaded! They are asking $27,000. It books for $37-$40. Don't get me wrong, I will take it to a mechanic but the one I talked to today on the phone said stay away from the 6.4 and I had never heard anything bad about them.

It does sound like a nice truck but they are asking to much my brother. i got my king ranch for 33,995; it had 55,000 miles on it, no DVD Player or NAV but still same basic truck. I wouldnt give them over 24000 for that truck 140K is a pretty good amount of mileage for an 08 thats almost 50k miles a year they put on that truck. Most people average 20k-25k a year on a vehicle. Just some food for thought.

It was sold in 07 so on average it is 35K per year. Looks like one of the very first sold. By the way I would be a sister not a brother. Just so you know! LOL But basicly it would probally be a good truck if it is mechanically sound? Like I said I don't know anyone who owns one and my father in law says it would be a POS, not sure how he came to that conclusion but that is a different story.....

Haha my bad sister. The 08 is a good truck you just have to do some modifications to it to make it less likely something will go wrong. Since this truck does have 140k it doesnt have any kind of factory warranty that means you can go ahead delete the EGR and DPF and run a tuner. I would just not give them 27K for the truck low ball the **** out of them i guarntee you they will get close to it.
