New to Ford and Powerstroke

First off let me say hello,

I owned a 2005 Duramax for two years and am looking to make the jump to ford. It just seems to me that Ford puts more thought into there trucks than my Chevy did. I don't really know what i'm looking for so I'm up for everyone options within reason. I'm looking for a good truck that will last me a long long time. I don't really tow anything frequently but I love my diesel burners. I'm looking to leave this one stock for at least a little while but we all know how hard that can be.

The reason I'm putting this here is because I test drove a 2008 F-250 today and really liked it but like I said I'm new to Ford and down know much about them.
