coolant filter question???

I got a question for you guys. I had my coolant filter installed on my 6.4 this weekend. On the instructions it says the line should be connected to the upper connection of the degas bottle. Mine is connected to the lower connection and the upper connection is blocked off. I have my egr deleted and I think that may be the reason. Is that ok or should I block off the lower connection on the degas bottle and plug the return from the coolant filter into the upper connection? Thanks for any info.

most trucks are blocked off on top with Venturi Tee.
I returned mine near the radiator and it returns on the bottom.

oh ok that makes sense. I just switched them around the other day. I blocked off the bottom one and ran the coolant filter to the top one. I guess that will be ok right?
