Brother Fined $2500 For No DPF!

My brother who lives in the Seattle area was pulled over Sunday by the WSP because his 2009 F250 was putting out black smoke. He was issued a citation for removing required epa equipment and was told that the fine would be at least $2500.00. He told me last night that he is going to see an attorney today. He is running a dpf delete with the mini max. I'll keep you posted on what he finds out from the attorney.

Ouch. But that's the chance you take when you mess with emission systems. Sucks to hear though.

wow that blows. sorry to here that but here in tn they dont play about that crap either. i dont have emissions but i know that some police carry fuel sticks to check for farm diesel when they pull you over.

saw this happen to a guy in puyallup a few weeks ago, it was a WSP in an unmarked ford f150, he even dipped his fuel tank to make sure it wasnt red.

Don't take this the wrong way but can post a copy of the citation? Through out the last few years people have posted stories just like this but nothing ever comes of them.

How did they know he was DPF delete ?? was he rolling coal in front of a cop ??
