Some help please

Im looking at a 2008 f250, its in great exterior condition, however, the carfax seems grim to me.
Could someone take a look at it and shoot me a recommendation on if you would buy it or not. Thanks

I don't see anything there to be worried about.

If you'd like to know more about the truck you can acquire an Oasis report from a Ford dealer (try calling Tomball Ford). Also, there are folks on this site that can provide one for you if you sweet talk them just a bit.

The Oasis report will tell you any maintenance that was ever done (at a Ford dealership) to the truck.

thanks, i guess my concern was the radiator. Ive read about problems with the 6.4

That was very early in the life of the truck and since then it's got 65 or 70,000 miles. I wouldn't worry about it. If you have the means, it's always a good idea to have a reputable third party mechanic take a thorough look at the it before you buy.

Actually, looking back at the report....maybe not 65 or 70k, but definitely enough miles to show that it's no longer an issue. There's no proving grounds for a radiator better than to put a few dozen thousand miles on a truck in Texas heat!

Drain some coolant from the pet**** valve into a clear container (after the truck has been sitting for awhile) and see if there is any visible sediment in it. If not, you're probably good to go.

You could also get your hands on some of the litmus paper that's used to test the coolant. Perform the test and see what tells you. I'm not familiar with that procedure but I'm sure someone on here can help you there and I'm sure it's easy to do.
