pics of Line-Xd trucks please
i'm going to try to get my truck over to Line-X next week. i can't decide if i want to just have the bed sprayed up the side or i want to have them spray over the bed rails too. what have you guys had done and what is your opinions on which way is better? any pics would be greatly appreciated.
i also have the option of adding the UV protection coating that he claims will keep it shiny for a LONG time. he said i'd get rid of the truck before it dulls out. if i don't use the UV, it will "grey out" in pretty short order. i'm going to stick with black as opposed to getting it color matched. what do they do with the plastic piece on tailgates that have the built in step? if i have them do, over the bed rails, what happens to the "pockets" in the bed rails? do they stay open or is there some type of cap that goes in there? |

I am getting mine done next month and it will be just up the sides, not doing the top as it has that plastic lip on it over the rail. I am not doing the uv stuff either as I really don't think it works. I have seen a few dull out even though they had that uv stuff mixed in.
They don't do the tailgate as it has all the stuff on it for the step, at least they told me they won't do it. |

Actually, they will do the tail gate, you just found a lazy dealer.
![]() I only had the bed sprayed, nothing outside the bed was sprayed. |

I had mine done with line-x about a year ago and I love it. It is definitely a tough liner. I had mine done under the rails because I have the factory bed caps.
I also have the tailgate with the step in it and they told me that they don't do any part of th tailgate. and I didn't see the need either. I got them to knock $50 bucks off the total price since they were using less material and less labor. They didn't want to do it but I just told them that was th deal or I would go somewhere else. I guess it depends on how bad they want to make a sale. It ended up working out for them because I bought a toolbox also at the same time. But not until I secured the deal on the liner. |

what are most of you guys paying or getting quoted?
for a black liner they quoted me $459 with a coupon and another $69 for over the rails. if i want the XTRA UV protection, that's another $99. |

I paid $375 after I got them to discount for the tailgate. I would think $459 AFTER a coupon is excessive. And $99 for UV protection seems like hype for added profit to me.
But keep in mind I am a cheap son of a bleep! |

Well I know they will do that part, I meant the plastic part that the step handle and stuff is part of on the tailgate.

Hmm, I'll have to look at mine again. I know they removed all the screws and the plastic overlay I show above and sprayed under there, just can't recall to what extent. I'll see if I can some pictures under there this weekend.
Daughter turns 1 today, we are celebrating Saturday, so it may be tough with everything going on. |

Not advertising, I have nothing to gain by posting this but here is a pretty sweet website with hundreds of pictures.
Line-X Project Gallery I would love to do full line-x bed, tool box, aux fuel tank, rockers, & bumpers. |
