If your considering An Icon kit......

Just looked at Icon's site for the billionth time and noticed their prices have went up, their 2.5 kit went from 825 to 882, track bars have gone up also. Just thought I would mention this in case anyone was putting off ordering for a while. May want to order from a dealer before their prices go up also. I just ordered mine from Performancelifts.com for 799. Just thought I would pass it along. Jason

They put a polyurethane bushing on the track bar end that mounts to
the frame side.It basically will wear out in less than 1000 mile, subsequently causing extreme death wobble. If they would have put a rubber bushing with a metal sleeve that extends past the rubber instead,it would never wear out i.e. (like the stock ford track bar).So I call Icon and complain about this 300 dollar part that sucks....they tell me that i need to buy the upgraded joint which is like another 100 dollars.I ended up taking the bar off and selling it.I had Trevor (PMF) build a adjustable track bar that relocates on top of track bar mount(diff side).I never had a problem since.

Icon has std and upgraded track bars ends for a upcharge..sorry but their is nothing wrong with the materials it the either the installer not tighten the bolts correctly or installing into a worn out bracket. Thousands have been sold and mine have close to 70K on it and its as tight as when I first put it in.

If there standard track bar was so perfect, why would they just now release a new "UPGRADED" end for it?????....?????

This is about like the guys on the gm boards with crapnito kits, NEVER blame the kit.

I have seen several icon kits fail for various reasons both laying blame on the installer (shop) and the kit (in more cases). Kits do fail. Back when Whiplash was in business I had one of their kits fails on my truck, had a Full Throttle kit fail as well. So it does happen and in my cases it was the kit and not the install.

Glad you have that many miles on your truck, hope it holds up.

FYI, readylift has a nice setup for a lot less money, does the same thing.
