Now are we talking about reading gauges & sensors or reading trouble codes?

This is one might look at as programming the ScanGage to read the sensors.

If one has done any computer work sometimes called writing a script.

Finding the sensor you want to read and display with the ScanGage read out.

As to recovering what turned on the CEL it should have the code DTC when you run the scan for codes and display then clearing them.

I can not recall the exact press this then that it has been some time and is an automatic press this ant that for myself.

When you go to the Scan button does it just say "Ready No Codes"?

This page shows what it looks like when at the correct screen on the ScanGage display.

To get to it start with pressing the lower right red button.

To read the codes press the top left dutton.

The screen will change and display the DTC code number.

Then will ask if you want to clear, this will clear the CEL.

Then you have no DTC to recover and your CEL should not be on.
