I'd buy a 09-10 with less miles if it was me. Some early 08 had problems from the factory, but I'm sure most of those have been fixed if it's at 100K. What kind of deal you getting on the 08?

I agree with the above post. I would get 09-10. Most of the problems have been worked out of those that the 08's had.

I got a 2010 last Feb brand new with 3 miles on it when I drove it off the lot for 39k.

I found some 08's with 30k on them in the 30 to 35 range when I was looking. If you look long/hard enough, you can find a better deal.

No. Walk away. Buy a 7.3 or 6.7.

If he gets a 09-10 6.4L why walk away? I had a 97 psd and compared to my 6.4L it's like night and day and my 6.4 makes almost 3 times the power and tq and gets better mpg and just as reliable. So why walk away?

I must agree with everyone above. I got a 2009 Crew Cab FX4 Full loaded with leather everything except nav and camera it had 4000 miles and I got it for 38,000. You should be able to find an 09 for around $30,000 to $35,000 with around 30,000 miles or so. Look around you can get a better deal IMO. Good luck to you!!

I'm checking around the D/FW area unless if that is too far of a drive for you.
