Is there an easy way to....??

Is there an easy way to get the engine light off? The yellow amber engine seems to come on all the time. I've had my truck about 2 months now and the light has come about 4 or 5 different times. I'm pretty sure it is from bad gas?? The manuel says its because of, one of 4 different reasons:
(1) Bad gas
(2) Not tightening the gas cap
(3) Water in electrical system
(4) Running out of gas
The manuel says to fill the tank with new fuel, run the truck for 3 different cycles (20 miles hwy, 10 city) and then let it sit for 8 hours, ect......
The light useually resets after a while but sometimes stays on for several days because I don't drive very far on an average day. Is there an easier way to reset it. Do any of the tuners have a function to reset it. I'm sick of looking at it and its embarrassing when someone is looking at my awesome truck!!

Is it still under warranty? You can take it to the dealer and have them check for codes, or if you have a tuner you can pull the codes. Maybe you have a bad sensor

Well I guess I deserved that!! Sorry, this is my first diesel. I hope the Powerstroke gods will forgive me!!

Anyway, I filled up today (with diesel) and the light finally went away. I'm sure it will come on again though. These trucks are really damn particular with the fueling systems!! It's just annoying as hell!!

No, this time, the light came on between 3/4 and full. It went off today after I filled up. When I filled up, i had just above 1/4 tank.

No, havent done that yet. Are you talking about the water seperator on the frame rail? I thought that the dash would tell me when it needed to drain but my luck, the indicator is probely broken. I'll try that.
