Fuel Drain

I noticed on the Frame Mount Filter that there is a Fuel Drain Valve with a Fitting where you can attach a Hose to this, Does anyone know what size this is? I would like to add a Drain Hose to make changing the Filter easier.

your easiest way would be to pull the plug on your next filter swap, run to autozone figure out the thread size and see if they have the right fitting for it.

Not on the 6.4's, it is just a nipple with a valve.

Good question on the hose size. I just drain it into any thing I have in my hand at the time.

I am asking this because I just got My Truck and was reading up and checking out things on the Trucks, I did see a Video on You Tube with the Fuel Filter change procedure and this is where I noticed this at, I will be adding a Drain Hose to mine to make it easier when it comes time for the Filters to be changed.

I slip on a piece of 5/16" fuel line purchased from any local auto parts store. Then you can drain it into a container for a clean easy operation.

Thanks for the Info, I was not sure what size hose would fit it!
