Switching to 20" tires/wheels worth while?

My 08 Lariat 4x4 6.4 Crew Cab came with 18" wheels and tires. I will be needing new tires in the near future. Should I consider upgrading to 20" wheels and tires or is it worth paying the extra costs? I would most likely try to find a used set in good shape.

It's personal preference. I personally like the 20" look, but the tires are pricey.

Odd question.

If you'd like to pay more for tires, diminish your safe payload rating for looks and pay for the bigger rims to boot, then sure, you should.

The only thing "worth it" is the visual upgrade. You won't gain anything by adding bigger wheels.

what kind pf crack do you smoke about "diminish your safe payload rating"? the 20" tires are every bit as strong as 18" tires. My long time best friend is a tire engineer for a niche tire manufacture that does big truck and off road and they are the same safety.

FYI if you want 20" stock wheels PM me, I pulled my set off last year and replaced them with another set for looks.

I have 20's, but I think the 18's look pretty good with larger tires on them.

I appreciate everyones input. Again I am asking if upgrading to the 20" tires/wheels are worth while. I really do not think it is an odd question at all. I am simply looking for input from other 6.4 owners. I do like the looks of the 20" wheels and tires but is it worth the extra money to upgrade at this point as I have about 50,000 miles on my truck. I will be needing new tires shortly though.

I run 20's on mine during the summer time. I just like the looks of a 20.. but like you said they are alot more expensive for tires
