6.4 coolant?

Do the 6.4's suffer from the same problems the 6.0's do with the coolant? How often do you change coolant in 6.4. And how many run coolant filters?

I just did a coolant change and installed the dieselsite filter. I just used G05 Zerex. I am only at 15,000 range. Nice Kit. Just ahve some good drill bits to drill the bottom hole for the mount in the frame. I would also snug up the hose clamps after a few heat cycles. If you are planning on installing the filter, I would drain the radiator and the block, easy to do. Then re-fill. Wont be much more in cost. Min took about 6.5 gallons. So 4 gallons of coolant and 4 gallons of distilled water. Will have some left over to throw in the bed because it will drop some after driving, the air is getting out fo the system.

Did you change the thermostat when you were doing all this? I will be doing this soon also.

I did not. If your truck has never been hot or not a lot of miles I would not.
Reason is I have got thermostats out of the box that are bad, so I usually wait to about 50,000+ for that, on all my cars.
