Who is having problems after tuning???

I am thinking about getting a 6.4 soon and a bit worried. I have been reading and researching about the 6.4 since it came out and love what I have heard. But the puking and related problems is scaring me. I will be putting Spartan race tunes, air intake, and full 5' straight pipe exhaust (no cat, muffler, or dpf).

Just wondering who is still puking and having related problems with tunes and no dpf like I will be doing? I thought the majority of the problems with 6.4's is because of regen, egr, and dpf. But with spartan that shuts these off and no dpf I thought the 6.4 would be pretty bulletproof? Let me know what yall think.
Thanks

It all depends on how you drive it. I put a full DPF/CAT delete and 5" pipe along with S&B intake and Spartan tunes up to 275. I run the 275 as my daily driver and am throttle happy from time to time (launching from lights etc), but do not drive the piss out of it. I think MOST of the problems are being seen in the vehicles that are racing every weekend.

If you are just going to load your tunes and drive it like a truck and not a race car (mind you we all have a little fun from time to time) then I think you will have no problems.... atleast I havent.

Well that makes me feel better. That is exactly how I drive. Most of the time I drive like a grandpa because im still in college and diesel is expensive. But definitely want to have the power there when I need it. Thanks for the input.

Anyone else?

Pretty much what he said. I got a 2010 truck that I got new. Right now I have 31k miles on it and it has been tuned for 26k of those miles. I am running the 300 tune and my truck have been problem from since day one. Plus now I'm getting about 20 mpg per fill up.

I have the exact same setup on my 08 F350. It was put on at 44K and I now have 70K with no issues! I drive normal with the odd,"set you in your seat" start, and love this truck!!! I especially love to kick "Chinamax's" ***, especially the new ones!!!
