is the minimax to "mini" man that thing is small. can u even c the thing on the dash, read the gauges, etc?

When I seen the mini maxx in the pictures on the internet I thought man that thing is as big as a business card, wow. Then when I unwrapped mine I thought holy sh** this thing is small, but honestly after installing it and driving down the road with it in the truck it really isn't hard to see and is a nice component.

I love my mini maxx. It is small but very easy to read. it is not a big and bulky so it is easy to install in the place i put my. JMO

Here's where mine is mounted.

I had it mounted (Screen in same location) but the "sticky part" was stuck to one of those plastic discs that come with Garmin GPS things. I liked that because it was cleaner a little bit. But with the cold weather, it popped off... too much hot/cold on the dash I guess. I have it like this for now, until i get a new disc or get some double sided tape for my old one.

Enough with the rambling... here are some pics (the screen is on it's night time mode because my auto lights came on because i park in covered parking). There are different themes you can select for nighttime/daytime I picked this for night because it's easier on the eyes. But here ya go...





The power cord is dropped down through a hole that i cut in the sloped part of the tray that's on the dash. You can just drop it down, and fish it out and plugh it up to the obd port. zip tie it together and you are done!

I think the size is perfect. I have mine installed on the lower left, it hides behind my tag and inspection stickers, like in the pic above. I have no issues with seeing the info on it.

I saw a post a few months back where they mounted it on the small ledge of the instrument cluster in front of the tach. It barely hid any of the tach. This is where I will be leaning when I get one. (There, or mounting it on the open ash tray in the dash.)
