How do I find out if I have the plow prep package can I look on my door? And if I don't have it is it a big deal or what? Thanks

I'm new to this having just bought a 08 250 without the plow prep with the intention of putting a plow on it but don't want to jeopardize the truck so I'm interested in seeing what others say. The easiest way I found is to check the front GAWR. On my truck it is 5600 lbs and with the plow package it would have been 6000 lbs. I hope this helps.

I don't know about it being pre-installed, but I just installed all the "On Truck" plow stuff, (Hooks, electrical, light H/U, Remote) and the cost was $1630.00

Luckily, I already had the plow.

I am also looking at doing an "Add a Leaf" leveling kit for a little stiffer suspension, just to be on the safe side.

800# plow and all...
