How much is the cat / dpf worth?

How much is the cat and dpf worth? It has about 70000 miles on them. Just wondering because its been laying around and I need to get rid of it. Trying to get a figure in mind before I bring it to a salvage/recycler.

Thanks,

I am not sure what a used one is worth. I know they run around $1,500 new for the DPF I think. I would do a google search and see what a used one goes for. Good Luck.

I'd throw it up on the local classifieds before loosing your shirt at the salvage yard.

I could have swore the dealership I go to told me that the DPF runs between 3-4k dollars. I could be wrong.

400$ for them used seems pretty common

Keep them. If you ever sell the truck or trade it in you will need them, it is a felony for you or a dealership to sell the truck with out them.

sell them, you will prolly get more then what a new exhaust costs. if you ever sell the truck, it will be sold as is, and if the dealer wants a dpf on it, they can pay for that later on.
