fuel addictive?

i have a 08 6.4 do you guys run any type of fuel addictive when you fill-up? also where i live its about 20-30 degrees here. how long do u let ur truck warm up? 1st time diesel owner.

in my 7.3 I run Howe's Diesel Lubricator, and I let my truck run for 5 minutes before I move it, then after about 10 min of driving its gettin hot.

I like Howe's Lubricator because it has no alcohol, unlike Powerservice, Powerservice made my truck knock bad and alcohol will eat up ur fuel system. Also Howe's has a *No Gelling Guaruntee after you use so many bottles, it basically says if ur truck Gels while using Howe's, they will pay the tow bill

fuel "addictive"?? I use Diesel Kleen and it works great for me..

Mine seems to be addicted too...

Seriously - I use whatever they sell at the Ford parts desk. Motorcraft? $10(CDN) lasted me 10 fill-ups. (They said it should do about 5 tanks, so I divided it by 5 portions and used it every-other fill up.)

I use stanadyne because I can get it pretty cheap from my local rep. Works great and never had an issue with gelling. If my truck is plugged in and the temps are in the 20's and 30's than it warms up for less than 5 minutes. If its not plugged in than 5 minutes. If the temps go to zero or below than no matter what it runs for longer than 5 most times 10 minutes.... Ive seen -20 this year several times, but I dont shut my truck off when its that cold, it will just idle away with high idle engaged.

I run PowerServices dieselkleen with anti-gel. It does not have alcohol. Says so on the bottle.

Check out Opti lube XPD, it's on the pricey side but is one of the best.

I'm talkin about regular powerservice in the white bottle, not the gray bottle.
