Royal Purple for the tranny?

I will do the oil change in the tranny soon and I was thinking about putting Royal Purple oil in it because I heard and read good things about that brand but I also heard that Ford tranny need Ford oil

Any advice on that?, and how many quart that thing hold??

Keep the Mercon SP in it. Warranty will tank you. I am also not a big fan of switching tranny types after a while. Reason is the fluids gets into the clutches and stuff and is hard to get totally out. I know after a while you will. Also I have never been a huge fan of a full synthetic in automatics.
