Repo Question???
Would anyone out there know if a lender (Ford Motor Credit in this instance) is, by law, supposed to notify the repo"ee" of where they intend to sale/auction the truck off? I was told that to be the case but never got any kind of notification as I was going to go buy the truck back while I am still fighting Ford for a denied warranty issue. I did tell FMC to come pick it up (from the dealer) almost a year ago and they just picked it up in late October.

I would think that would have to do with your state laws.

+1. That's probably a state thing.
I knew a guy that ran a repo business here in TX and he never notified the people he repo'ed from when he sent the vehicles to auction on behalf of the lender. Then again, the lender could have been doing the notification, but I doubt it..... |

The lender will send you a letter stating the date it will go to auction, you have a set number of days to cash out or it goes to aution, the auction could be local or in another city. It can go all most anywhere once it goes to auction.
