Expiring warranty
Warranty on my 08 F-250 4x4 is expiring soon, just got 17.2 mpg on roundtrip OR/FL and so far am happy with the 6.4 however wondering if there any any specific weaknesses I should have checked out before the warranty expires. Any opinions/recommendations?

yes, and with my winter tread tires on, I get about 1/2 mpg better in the summer with different tires. I keep my foot out of the throttle and speeds under 70, if I get up over 70 the mileage drops off significantly.

If you plan to keep the truck, then consider getting an extended warranty.

I would have to go with Beech on this issue
try to buy an extended warranty if possible most dealers will sell you one as long as your still under 3 yrs and 60kms here in Canada they run about 4 grand If not I would sell it before it expires because the smallest engine problem could easily cost 5 to 10 k. Just to give you an idea I had the gasket changed on the bedplate nothing else and it cost 7800.00 Almost everything involves cab off and that labor intensive. Just my input on the matter I have several of these 6.4 and I sell them as soon as they get near 60 km |

This is where I purchased an extended Ford warranty. Seemed very reasonable given the potential repair cost.
