'11 one piece key & fob

has anyone tried the new '11 key that has the fob on it on the older trucks? i have heard it works on the 08-10 trucks but my parts guy says no. before i drop $100 on a key i wanted to make sure. there are 2 styles, a 3 button, and a 4 button, i want the 4 button and try to get the remote start trained to it also........ thanks.
