loving my 6.4

Just recently purchased a 08 F250 crew cab 4x4 with the 6.4. I made my first commute in it this morning and loved it. 18.6 mpg on a 130 mile commute. Man I'm loving that mileage. Can't wait to see what it will do with a tune.. I wish I would have crossed over to Ford a long time ago.

Glad to hear you are getting that, but is that off the lie-o-meter or hand calculated? You can't trust what that meter tells you. My 08 didn't get that tuned with spartan. My 2010 get 16.5 to 17 running 70 on the highway stock.

drive from Tyler to Fort Worth. for the most of it, it is a pretty flat drive. On cruise control running 70 mph. truck is bone stock with 3.55 gears I believe. yes it was off the meter but I find it hard to believe that it would be more then .5 mpg off. Even if it is off some my last truck was getting a best of 15.5 on that drive. either way you look at it I'm coming out.

I am guessing it is lie-o-meter as well. If not, that's awesome. I got 15.5 on my 2010 out of a tank between Mooresville, NC and Lexington, KY at 70 to 80 mph. I was happy with that.

I recorded the first 43 fillups in my truck and the best i ever got was 16.56 and only two other times was I in the 16 mpg range. The overall average was 14.3. I was tuned 50 miles after purchasing the truck.
