hey guys I'm new here.. I've been told that removing the muffler will make a difference in the sound and then ive been told that it wont do a thing with the sound. Which is it ? Also need some info on these dpf delete kits, heard that in order to have one, you also have to use a turner with it, is this right ?
Thanks For Any Help |

You must have a tuner to delete the DPF... do it if possible. I did it and gained 7 MPG!

The muffler is a pass thru design and doesn't make much of a difference in sound. You do need a tuner to delete the DPF. Give us a call if we can help in any way.

if i had the muffler removed would i be alble tell that it has been removed when i punched it and when the truck is idleing or is it not worth the $ 80 that the muffler shop is going to charge me

Not worth it. Spend the money and delete that DPF/DOC. You'll never look back (except to see how much smoke you're blowing out)

what folks are trying to tell you is removing the muffler is going to do nothing. If you want more power you need to do the dpf/cat delete with a tuner.

i have a dpf delete pipe and 4" dpf back exhaust with 6" tip and I definitely notice a sound difference especially since switching to the 6" tip.
