Driving on Hills?

can anyone help me with driving on hills?, i would like to know what the operating temps of these trucks are and if you guys turn on tow haul when driving up steep hills without a trailer. i was driving up an incline today and my truck got up to 215 ect, 219 eot, and 223 tft, it was 90 degrees outside. i thought those were high and so i actually ended up going down hill right after they reached that high and then they went down to about 210 eot, ect, tft, then i turned on tow haul and they dropped down to 194 ect, 196 eot, 180 tft. those are the number that i usually see daily in the afternoon when it is somewhat hot, in the morning at about 6 am i see somewhere in the 170-180s to each

can anyone help me, sorry for all the info.
main questions are,
what are the operating temps?
towhaul on or off when going up hills w/o trailer (on worked better)?

thanks a lot
