Rear end issues???
I just picked up my 2010 CC F350 last Saturday and have noticed what I'll describe as axle wrap???? When you take off you almost feel like the rear end has some slop in it. Before buying this one all I drove was F250s and never noticed it. Any ideas or thoughts? There is no noise associated with it, just a shift in the rear end when taking off. Is it because of the overload springs?

It sounds to me like you maybe have a sticking slip-joint in the center of the driveshaft.
You step on the gas, and it almost makes a little 'clunk' noise as you take off? There's a slip-yoke in the middle of the driveshaft, if the truck has sat for awhile, its possible the grease/lubricant dried up on the yoke and is causing it to 'stick' a little bit. If you just picked it up, I'd take it back and let them deal with it. |
