Possible class action lawsuit?????
Maybe I am jumping the gun here, but I have always wondered if the seats in my truck were actually ALL leather. When I bought them I was never told different, but as I look at my new truck I can notice a distinct difference in the top of the seats compared to all the other material. In the rear seat it is really noticeable. Only the very center of the two outside seats appear to be leather. The top sides of the seats are completely different texture, and the center seat doesn't appear to be leather at all. No where does ford state that their seats are a leather/vinyl combination. This really pi$$es me off since I paid for leather and that is exactly what my window sticker said not 30% leather and 70% vinyl or some other material. I am going to take the truck to an upholstery shop and see what they have to say. If they tell me that the seats are only partially covered in leather I will be looking for an Attorney and seeking some advice. Even if they are using a combination of real leather and and some type of manmade leather, it should be disclosed as such. We pay extra to have leather in our trucks and should expect that we are getting what we paid for.

If you take it to an upholstery shop, they will say it's not all leather just so they can sell you some of their own. And wtf??? A lawsuit over some leather????

Unless you buy a king ranch, you should know you are not getting 100% leather. But whatever you feel like doing, a class action is not what I would be considering, but that is just my opinion.

Yep, Lariats are fake leather.

Yes sir, and I knew that when I got mine.

Ouch, give it to me straight fellas, don't sugar coat it. Maybe to some it seems
, but in my humble opinion if you pay for an advertised product then that is what you should get. My wife's GMC acadia has real leather(her idea to buy not mine, so I will beat you to the "well buy a GMC comment" I know you were thinking it). It may seem far fetched, but how many people have bought these trucks thinking that they got an all leather interior, when in reality all they got was leather on the top of a few seats and the rest some other type of material. We pay alot of money for these trucks and we should get what is advertised. But hey I will ride it and see where it goes.

If you read closely, you'll see reference to "leather seating surfaces" versus leather seats. I agree, its BS for what they charge. I doubt that my rear Lariat seats are really leather. The front inserts appear to be leather, but pretty crummy stuff. My GMC leather was much nicer. The new 6.7 Lariat leather feels like rubberized vinyl. KR is the best way to go.

![]() lol. I would think that if the material used for the seat is not 51% or more leather than it would be considered false advertisement. I couldn't find anywhere that ford states leather seating surfaces. The 2008-2010 spec guide says "leather trimmed". I know that this seems pretty ridiculous to most on here, but in the chance that this went anywhere, I would have people lined up behind me waiting to get theirs.

Well, I would think this is something you would have brought up while you were test driving, or before you signed on the dotted line.... They didn't hide it.
Also, in my truck it seems like the part you actually sit on in front seats only is leather, or a very good imitation, but all the sides and back seats don't feel the same..... |
