undertruck quality

After 32K i've noticed deep pitting in the rear drive shaft, most of the frame paint is gone. Pumpkins have heavy rust deposits, and most of all the sterring arms paint is gone and rusted. This didn't happen on my other Fords until they were almost 10 yrs old.
Anyone else notice this?

I've got 43,000 on mine right now and my underneath still looks brand new. I think it probably has a lot to do with where you live. Salt=bad. Plus I pressure wash my undercarriage every time I wash it.

^^^^^I've ran it thru 2 winters, and I wash underneath always. My truck has only been as dirty as your Avitar 1 time. If yours looks new, then somethings up, paint has peeled off frame in chunks.....see was dealer says

I heard that some newer trucks did not get any paint on the underbody parts and the older ones did (my 08 has 90k miles and looks almost new)

Yeah, I'd take it to the dealer and see what they have to say. IMO that shortens the life of the truck, let alone the resale value.

My 2010 is one of the ones without the paint.

My 2008 Job 3 has got a nice black paint job on all the undercarriage. I wonder why they quit doing it.

Different body style but my 2006 has 59K and I was just up under it 10 minutes ago and it looks AWEFUL!

The driveshafts are solid brown with a rough scale, the diffs are all rust, steering components rust, shocks are horrible, and most scary of all the floorboards are starting to scale and turn brown.

Anybody recommend a good spray paint to hit mine up with?

I wonder how well some of the 2 part epoxy roll on bedliners would hold up under there.
