Water Separator
My Drain Water Separator light started coming on today and when I try to drain it nothing comes out.
Is this normal?

When was the last time you changed your filter? There could be some sediment in the bowl that would keep it from draining?

When that happens to me I open the pet**** and hit it with a little bit of air from a compressor. Starts the flowing again.

Thanks Guys, I just put 12,000 miles on truck and going to do fuel filter and oil change this week. I will try the air trick to try and get by until filters come in. Went to order them from Advance Auto ( fuel filters $115.00) OOUCH!! So I ordered Online

Yes the fuel filter combo is not cheap, not to mention the frame rail filter is not very easy to get to, I dread having to do it everytime I change them.

Mine gave me the drain water alarm every 10 miles. Ford replaced the sensor about 2 weeks ago and now its back on. PITA

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but it was late last night when we wrapped up the deal, so, no one showed me where this drain is located. I've flipped through the owner's manual twice now and must have went right by it because I can't find it. Where is this valve????
