My first 6.4...need some help

Hey guys. I'm pretty new to the diesel world, actually just getting my feet wet. I'm going to look at buying my first one this saturday. Its a 2008 F250 larait, 86,000 miles. Has a leveling kit with 35's on 20" rims. Dont think there's any other mods except fender flares. Are there any specific questions I should ask the dealer, or anything I should look for before making my purchase. I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

I would just pull a carfax and an oasis report on her you can ask the dealer questions but they are just going to tell you what you want to hear. Look at the brake pedal and see how worn it is this will tell you if it was driven on the highway or a lot of stop and go. Open the hood and look at the screws that hold the front fenders on in the engine compartment and see if they are painted the same color as the truck or if they are unpainted this might give you an indication of front end wreck... just some thoughts.

Pulled the carfax, its clean. No wrecks, regular service done. Just seems too good to be true for $31,000. Am I wrong?

That's a good deal. They were asking 39995 for mine a little over a year ago and it had 46000 miles on it, it is a cc sb lariat loaded with the dvd system but no nav.

Definitely a good looking truck. From what I understand, you may want to avoid the Job 1 trucks. Also, keep in mind, that brand new 2010 Lariats are going for around 40k (without the mods of course).

the bluebook on it is between 33-35k

and might I add there is nothing wrong with the job one trucks other than some radiator problems and CAC (charge air cooler) problems but with over 80k miles these should already have been corrected if this is a job one, the oasis should include such repairs.

the exhaust tips look really low. does it have a goose neck hitch installed?

yeah i did notice that about the exhaust tips. And no goose neck hitch. It almost looks like theres some rust on the exhaust....that typical?

good looking truck, i just bought mine 2 weeks ago, you can see it in my sig, mine is f350 king ranch 2008 job 3 sunroof, nav, 70000 miles i got it for 29k blue book was 40k

i noticed that on my truck they sit at about the same height as those i thought it was kind of odd??? i figured maybe since it was a 1ton but thats a 250 so im not sure why mine is that low?
