6.4 replacement battery suggestion

Well looks like at the 3 1/2 year mark I need to replace the batteries in my 08 F250 6.4 4x4. Any suggestion on replacement batteries? I could just go with the Ford Motorcraft batteries from the dealer. I think they run a little over $100 each for the group 65 750 CCA.

I bought the DieHard platinum batteries for mine. Not very impressed with the OEM batteries that lasted barely 3 years.

Well my truck would not start this morning - batteries dead. I put on the battery charger and went to the Ford Dealer and had 2 Motorcraft batteries installed. These are a 100 month warrantied with 36 month free replacement for $104.95 each. My total cost out the door was $241 for both batteries installed (don't ask me how they got to the $241 as I am still trying to figure that out). This is the best warranty I could find. As the truck would not start I had to get some batteries today and not shop around. I appreciate the input.

Old thread, I know, but good info to keep track of and bring current.

I had to have my four year-old batteries replaced last night in my 2008 Powerstroke. The local Ford dealer charged me $234 out the door for both batteries installed. Motorcraft 100 month warranty with 3-year replacement warranty.

I was pleasantly surprised

Yep that is exactly what I wound up doing. Going with the same batteries at same price. Price can't be beat and longest warranty I found.

Exactly. I can't believe my dealer was the cheaper alternative in this case!

I think it's a sign of the Apocalypse.

You may be correct. I was blown away when I found the dealer had the best price and the best warranty by far. This is something of which others should be aware. I think they also advertise that they will beat anyones price on tires. I will give them a try when I need new tires.

I think I need batteries... I just drive short 4 mile trips to work and don't think they have time to charge. Plus, its a job 1 built in march of 07, so that's 4 years...

Question is, if they say 3 year replacement, what is the 100 months for???

Thanks
