jingle noise...still got it.
I've asked before but I'll try again. Does anyone else get a jingle noise from under their truck when driving down a bumpy road? I can hear it only with the window down. It has done it since I got it new. It sounds like a chain dangling down there.
Thanks guys |

Try shooting some silicone lubricant, or WD-40 in the catch for the tailgate... I.E. open tailgate then shoot it in that catch and all inside it.... Mine does it and my F150 did also... That's about what it sounded like and was annoying as crap...

I agree, check the tailgate.

Might lube up the tailgate step latch while youre at it, I had noise from the tailgate and on my 05 it was fixed with some silicone on the rubber bumpers, and the other day I noticed my chirp/squeek is coming from the tailgate step latch..I don't know if I'd call it a jingle though so you might have something else

If your shocks have metal dust covers, they will sometimes hit the shock body and have a noise similar to what you describe. Look for scrapes on the shock bodys??

No, I have plastic covers.

Check your exhaust hangers and mounts and make sure the exhaust pipe can't touch or tub up against any of the heat shields, etc. The rearmost hanger bracket was broken on my F-350 and it used to jingle - almost a ringing sound on the bumps until I replaced it.
