2008 regeneration

Got a 2008 350 that has been stuck in the renereation mode for the last hour.
Does anyone know how long this is supposed to take?
It happens only at idle, it goes up to 1100 and runs really rough and you can feel the heat under the truck and 6 feet away from the tail pipes. Once you touch the brakes it goes down to normal idle so you can drive. Truck is on it's second fuel tank only. I think this is going to be another POS
I haven't made the first payment yet so maybe I'll just hand them the keys

Does it have "the sticker" on it- saying it got re-flashed at the dealer before you got it? If not, take her back and get her done! My bro said they got it worked out, but its gotta have the sticker or it slipped through...

Yep, I would make sure it was updated.

The dealer put the laptop on it and they said that it had the latest flash. Regeneration took 1 1/2 hour to complete now the truck runs fine again.
Although it did use over 1/4 of a tank of fuel to do it.

Jesus, a quarter tank? On a regen? I could have put that in my truck and gone about 200 miles on it.
