Rear a/c?

I have a custom truck with six doors. It can get a little warm all the way in the back here in Texas.

Has anyone tried installing rear a/c in a truck?

Are there known problems with the regular a/c? Mine does not seem to blow very hard.

Thanks guys

That six-door build looks GREAT. Your best bet for cooling might be an auxilllary A/C system, and plumb the vents up throught the floor, much like the stretch Limos. I don't think it's a cheap upgrade, but then again a six-door mod isn't cheap either. =)

The factory A/C system is not good, at best.

I think you would have to add a larger condenser for sure if you were going to add another evaporator in the rear and more system capacity. I don't think that winkie little compressor that's on these trucks would be up to the task, either. Maybe call an ambulance upfitting place, they might be able to get you into the right ballpark, lot of the ambulances have rear a/c installed on 'em
