D-max guy gone powerstroke
Ok guys new to the powerstroke just bought a 2010 F250 and have some q's. How much hp over stock can the tranny handle. What is a good custom tuning software something like efi live for the duramax. How much power before I need to do head studs and how much hp can the stock turbos hold before they exceed their map. Sorry for all the ?'s but I'm goin from a 900hp dmax and I need some power back in my life.

no custom tuning software (a friend and i are currently working on that) for your truck look into a spartan with the 310 tune.

The tranny is plenty stout, SPARTAN is the tuner of choice
|
|
|||
|
spartan intake and dpf delete will put you over 500
|
|
|||
|
Trans will hold 550+ with custom tuning.

550+ who that's awesome compared to 90hp over stock for a dmax I spent 3g's to get my ola Allison to hold 450hp. So 550 is attainable on just a Spartan,DPF delete and a intake? How much does the Spartan tuner cost? This is gonna be a dd for awhile so I'm not goin for 900hp right now like my dmax had. What is estimated 1/4 mile time with 550?

Not sure on times but a Spartan tuner and DPF delete pipe was around $1100-$1300 last I heard. Glad you stepped over from the dark side

tuner full exhaust intake ur looking at around 1800$
truck will proabably go arounf low low 13's. 12's if u have a base model truck less weight etc. who knows thats just a guess.. go on youtube and type in spartan 310.. |

Ok guys thanks for all the info but I have one more question. Is ford able to tell if I have had a programmer/tuner on my truck if I change it back to stock before service?
